JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., a leader in the field of international public health, is recruiting for its US State Department-funded Dreams Innovation Challenge Project for the following vacancy: M&E Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The M&E Manager will be the point person for project M&E, with a focus on M&E of project grantees. S/he will provide support for a portfolio of up to 6 grantees, which includes, but is not limited to monitoring and evaluation of project and grantee outputs and outcomes; data collection from grantees; providing technical assistance for grantee reporting into a database on the Salesforce platform; conducting routine data quality assessments/site visits to grantees; conducting trainings and/or technical assistance for grantees; participating in project evaluation activities; producing data synthesis and reports; and other related responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree in Health Information Management / Public Health Epidemiology or Statistics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum four years’ experience in research, evaluation, program design, program management, advocacy, and/or health communications; experience working with multiple grantees desirable.
  • Minimum three years’ experience working on USG-funded projects, PEPFAR funding and reporting, and/or public health programs.
  • Demonstrated interest in and experience in organizational or individual capacity building and/or training.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative program evaluation methods.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the HIV/AIDS epidemic desirable.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to implement procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship building skills, especially in a cross-cultural environment, and ability to analyze and solve problems, persuade, network and negotiate.
  • Proven ability to solve problems independently without direct supervision.
  • Strong time management/task prioritization skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required (especially Excel)
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Foreign language skills preferred.
